In response to the Ministry of Transportation’s 2026 international travel subsidy, the Taichung City Tourist Hotel Association gathered 12 member hotels today (30th) and joined hands with the Taichung City Gift Association to launch the "Keep the Journey Continue, Let the Happiness Happen in Taichung" joint marketing campaign, offering prizes such as presidential suite accommodation vouchers worth NT$68,000, iPhone 18 Pro 256GB, and Taichung gifts worth NT$10,000. The good discounts will be extended to the end of January next year, so that the policy benefits can be transformed into autumn and winter tourism momentum.
Jiang Wenwei, chairman of the Taichung Tourist Hotels Association, pointed out that the price of international travel has attracted attention in recent years, but the hotel industry faces challenges such as manpower shortages, increases in food, energy and various operating costs. In addition to responding to price issues, the industry must also think about making tourists feel that "the money is well spent." This time the international travel policy has driven the first wave, and the industry has taken over the baton. The second wave will drive the CITS market together. Passengers who use CITS subsidies to stay at event member hotels before November 30 this year can log in to the lottery. After the subsidy ends, the association and member hotels will take over again. From December 1 to January 31, 2027, eligible passengers who stay on weekdays will also enjoy the lottery opportunity.
