DPP legislator and New Taipei City mayor candidate Su Qiaohui held a "Tainan Folks Abroad and Xinzhuang Symposium" today (24th). President Lai Qingde attended the event to encourage and affirmed that Su Qiaohui has been evaluated as an outstanding legislator by the Public Governors League 16 times. She has devoted herself to New Taipei City in the past ten years. I believe that under Su Qiaohui's leadership, New Taipei City will become a leader among counties and cities across the country. Su Qiaohui said that as mayor in the future, she will accelerate urban renewal, actively promote the north-south connection of the semiconductor and AI industries, and deepen diversified tourism cooperation.

Lai Qingde said that he is very grateful for the care and love of the folks in Tainan. He is a child of New Taipei City and a citizen of Tainan City. He hopes to give more back to New Taipei City where he was born and raised. Therefore, he supports Su Qiaohui because he hopes to have a mayor who can cooperate with him in the future. Lai Qingde emphasized that the hometown associations of various counties and cities in New Taipei Province are the key to this election campaign, and thanked the Tainan hometown associations for their solidarity and support for Su Qiaohui.

Su Qiaohui said that New Taipei City has a solid manufacturing foundation. In the future, as mayor, she will promote cooperation in the semiconductor and AI industry chains between the north and the south, including public-private cooperation to establish an "Enterprise AI Computing Center" to lower the threshold for all walks of life to use AI and help New Taipei's traditional industries enter the semiconductor, drone and space industry supply chains. She will also make every effort to accelerate the development of industrial parks, and plan to build the "New Taipei City International Convention and Exhibition Center" and set up a Tainan exhibition and sales area.

Su Qiaohui said that Tainan is the heart of Taiwan's history and culture, and New Taipei has rich mountain and sea resources. She proposed the "Twin Engines of Tourism" plan to promote the "Twin Cities Cultural Festival", promote cultural cooperation and exchanges, and also invigorate the local economy.

In addition, Su Qiaohui pointed out that she will promote study tours to New Taipei and Tainan cities, and hold local creation awards to encourage young people to return to their hometowns to create new lives, so that the next generation can pass on local cultural memories.
