On November 5, the Shanxi Provincial Consumer Association issued a consumer reminder to remind consumers to pay more attention to heating consumption so that they can choose clearly and use it with confidence.

The Shanxi Provincial Consumers Association reminds that if you encounter people claiming to be from heating companies coming to sell energy-saving equipment, floor heating cleaning agents or pipe modifications, you should first verify your identity through the official customer service phone number or offline business hall of the heating company, and do not believe in word-of-mouth propaganda. Heating companies generally do not force consumers to purchase products and value-added services at their own expense. They should remain vigilant against door-to-door sales from unknown sources and do not pay easily.

When making an appointment for door-to-door cleaning, inspection, and maintenance services, the Shanxi Consumers Association recommends confirming the service items, charge details, and completion standards in advance, paying attention to exaggerated faults and temporary price increases after low-priced traffic, giving priority to merchants with complete qualifications and good reputations, and leaving written records of relevant agreements as much as possible.

When purchasing electric heaters, wall-mounted boilers, and temperature control equipment, you should give priority to products from regular channels, check product certificates and 3C certification marks, and do not purchase products from unknown sources to reduce the risks of fire, electricity leakage, and water leakage. When purchasing heating pipe fittings, sealing materials and other consumables, you should also check the product identification and usage conditions, and install and use them according to the instructions.

Shanxi Consumers Association also reminds consumers to properly keep service communication records, orders, payment vouchers and bills. Issues involving heating quality and heating services can be reported to the heating unit or the local heating authority first; in the event of consumer disputes, appeals can be submitted through the National Consumers Association Smart 315 platform to safeguard rights rationally and in accordance with the law.
