Taichung Wufeng Joint Administrative Center opens, and He Xinchun calls for speeding up the construction of Dali

The Wufeng District Office Building in Taichung was old and damaged in the 921 earthquake. After appraisal, it was recommended to demolish and rebuild. The city government, with a subsidy of 100 million from the Ministry of Interior, spent 720 million to rebuild the Wufeng District Joint Administrative Center to provide people with a one-stop place to integrate district administration, household administration, and public childcare. A lively opening ceremony was held today for the service. He Xinchun, candidate for Taichung mayor of the Democratic Progressive Party, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and expressed his blessing for Wufeng to have a more comfortable space for public meetings. However, he also lamented that the Dali District Joint Administrative Center is still an empty space and there has been no movement at all in the past eight years.

He Xinchun said that the Taiping and Wufeng administrative centers have been opened one after another, but the Dali District Joint Administrative Center that the villagers have been waiting for for many years is still an empty space and has not yet started construction. To make progress in the urban areas, construction cannot stop. If there is an opportunity to serve Greater Taichung in the future, the construction of the urban areas will be promoted in a "quasi-urban pattern".

He Xinchun pointed out that in recent years, when people come to Wufeng, they think of kitchen waste lakes and when they come to Dali, they think of garbage mountains. Many issues related to the quality of life have not been truly resolved, and the villagers in the Tun District feel that development has stagnated. The city government should speed up environmental improvement and promote major construction so that citizens can truly feel the progress of the city.

He Xinchun said that the Wufeng Joint Administrative Center integrating public relations and childcare services is a good thing worthy of blessing for the local area; similarly, the people of Dali have been waiting for a new administrative center for many years and cannot wait any longer. In the future, we will make every effort to accelerate public construction, upgrade administrative services, childcare resources, living functions and environmental quality simultaneously, and drive the overall development of the district with quasi-urban specifications.

He Xinchun emphasized that every citizen deserves the same high-quality living environment and public services, regardless of whether they live in mountains, seas, villages or cities. Balanced regional development is Taichung's urban value.
