The head of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry called on Ukraine to stop attacks on ships in the Black Sea

Kazakh Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi called on Ukraine to stop attacks on the republic’s ships in the Black Sea. The minister announced this to his Ukrainian colleague Andrei Sibiga on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, reports ulysmedia.kz.

“Of course, within the framework of bilateral meetings, I met with ministers of many states. Among them were Mr. [Russian Foreign Minister Sergei] Lavrov and Mr. Sibiga. We discussed our relations with them in the context of the ongoing conflict. First of all, we talked with the Ukrainian side about the need to continue to prevent drone attacks on our ships in the Black Sea,” he said.

Tleuberdi also called on Lavrov to negotiate with Kiev in order to “end the war as soon as possible.” He also noted that he would not mind if peace negotiations took place in Kazakhstan.
