(서울=연합뉴스) 임기창 기자 = 법정 정기검사 기간을 넘긴 미수검 건설기계가 올해 들어 1만7천여대에 달하고 '부적합' 판정 이후에 재검사를 받지 않는 사례도 꾸준히 발생하는 것으로 나타났다.

16일 국회 국토교통위원회 소속 국민의힘 김미애 의원이 대한건설기계안전관리원으로부터 제출받은 자료에 따르면 검사 기간이 지나 미수검으로 분류된 건설기계는 올 8월 기준 1만7천107대다.

이는 지난해 연간 수치(1만5천415대)를 11%(1천692대) 웃도는 수준이다.

최근 6년간 미수검 건설기계는 2021년 2만9천973대에서 2022년 2만4천360대, 2023년 2만2천697대, 2024년 2만2천829대에 이어 지난해 2만대 아래로 감소했다가 올해 들어 다시 증가세를 보였다.

정기검사에서 부적합 판정을 받은 건설기계도 2021년부터 올 8월까지 누적 13만8천16대로 집계됐다. 타워크레인이 2천190대, 그외 건설기계가 13만5천826대였다.

건설기계관리법 시행규칙에 규정된 부적합 사유는 등록번호표 미부착부터 연료장치 봉인 탈락, 액화석유가스 누출, 구조 및 장치의 안전기준 부적합, 차대 및 차체의 심한 부식·변형·파손 등까지 다양하다.

부적합 판정을 받았으나 재검사를 이행하지 않은 건설기계도 2021년 2천401대, 2022년 2천350대, 2023년 187대, 2024년 397대, 2025년 526대, 올해는 8월까지 221대로 집계됐다.

다만 재검을 받지 않은 건설기계가 현장에서 계속 사용되는지는 확인되지 않는다. 관리원은 김 의원실에 "재검 미이행 건설기계의 운행 여부에 관한 자료는 보유하고 있지 않다"고 답했다.

같은 기간 검사 과정에서 불법개조를 확인해 건설기계 소유자에게 통보한 사례도 2021년부터 올해까지 총 1만8천914건으로 연평균 3천152건이 발생했다.

김미애 의원은 "검사 기간을 넘기거나 부적합 판정 후 재검사를 받지 않은 건설기계가 실제로 사용·운행되는지, 후속 행정조치는 제대로 이뤄졌는지 한눈에 파악할 수 없는 것이 문제"라며 "이런 건설기계가 현장에서 사용되지 않도록 관리체계를 정비해야 한다"고 말했다.
