Bus fire after rain on Eyüpsultan Northern Marmara Highway: 2 dead, 4 injured

The bus, whose driver lost control of the steering wheel on the Eyüpsultan Northern Marmara Highway, on the slippery road due to rainy weather, crashed into the barrier. The flames rising from the bus due to the impact of the accident grew in a short time. It was learned that 2 people died and 4 people were injured due to the fire.

The fire occurred around 19.10 in Eyüpsultan Northern Marmara Highway Işıklar Mahallesi Işıklar location. Allegedly, the driver lost control of the steering wheel on the road that became slippery due to rainy weather. The passenger bus with plate number 23 AFA 634, traveling from Diyarbakır to Istanbul, crashed into the barrier. Upon the notice of the surrounding people, fire brigade, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire was extinguished by firefighters. During the checks of the medical teams, it was determined that 2 people died and 4 people were injured in the fire. After first aid at the scene, the injured were taken to hospital by ambulance. The teams' investigations at the scene continue.
