Hoengseong-gun's 'Again, Youth Day' event concludes with a participatory festival centered on seniors

(Hoengseong = Yonhap News) Reporter Lim Bo-yeon = The 'Again Youth Day' event in Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do ended as a participatory festival centered on seniors with the largest number of people in history.

The military announced on the 30th that it received a positive response by expanding programs that seniors can directly participate in and enjoy, moving away from simple commemorative or spectator-oriented events.

At the event venue, traditional games such as tuho, henna experience, youth cafe, and youth photo studio were operated.

The seniors directly participated in each program and had time to socialize and communicate with each other.

The military explained that through this event, it confirmed the need to develop senior welfare in a direction that not only provides services but also expands new experiences, enjoyment, and opportunities for exchange.

In the future, we plan to develop 'Again Youth Day' into an event with various cultural and experience programs by reflecting the opinions of participants and reactions from the field.

Lee Hee-kyung, head of the County Family Welfare Department, said, “We will continue to expand programs where seniors can participate and enjoy themselves as the main characters of the event.”
