Busan City will hold the 8th Busan Urban Agriculture Festival at Song Sang-hyeon Square on the 2nd and 3rd of next month.

Busan City announced on the 28th that the 8th Busan Urban Agriculture Festival will be held at Song Sang-hyeon Square in Busanjin-gu from the 2nd to the 3rd of next month.

This event is co-hosted by Busan City and Busanjin-gu and organized by the Busan Urban Agriculture Association.

A festival where urban farmers and citizens can enjoy together will be held under the theme of urban agriculture.

About 40 various institutions and organizations, including urban agriculture organizations, related universities, Bukyung Horticultural Cooperative, and Future Flower Farming Association, participate to provide things to see and enjoy.

Traditional experiences such as rice threshing experience, rice cake pounding, forklift experience, and tuho game that allow you to feel the fall season will also be held, as well as exhibitions of various rice varieties and new agricultural products such as pumpkins and eggplants.

In order to spread the urban farming culture, Busan City enacted an ordinance on the fostering and support of urban agriculture in 2012, and to date, has created 3.88 million ㎡ of urban gardens and is fostering 296,000 urban farmers from 296,000 households.
