Influencer and bodybuilder Luiz Moreira is in preventive detention after attacking a neighbor and damaging a car in a condominium in Belo Horizonte

Influencer and bodybuilder Luiz Moreira, filmed attacking a neighbor and damaging a car parked in the condominium's garage, in Belo Horizonte, had his arrest converted into preventative arrest at a custody hearing this Saturday (5). His wife, dental surgeon Lina Raquel, who had also been arrested, was released by the courts.

The crime was committed in the Salgado Filho neighborhood, in the West Region of Belo Horizonte. Security cameras recorded the confusion. The images show Luiz attacking Elvia Marques, 58 years old.

Minutes later, Luiz's wife, dental surgeon Lina Raquel, also attacks the resident and is restrained by neighbors.

At another point, Luiz appears in the building's garage. He punches one of the car's mirrors, rips off the other and uses a shopping cart to continue damaging the vehicle.

Afraid, residents left the building and called the police. Before the vehicle arrived, according to them, the couple returned to the scene and tried to attack Elvia again. Luiz and Lina were arrested and taken to the police station.

On social media, Luiz Moreira has more than 79 thousand followers and presents himself as a bodybuilding athlete, with posts about training and competitions. Lina Raquel has around 28 thousand followers.

What caused the confusion

According to residents, the fight is related to an apartment that once belonged to the couple. The property was auctioned by a bank in 2023 and now has another owner.

Even after the auction, however, the former owners would have continued renting the apartment.

Aloísio Cruz has lived in the property for around four months with her husband. He said that he moved from Maranhão to Belo Horizonte and did not know that the apartment had been auctioned when he signed the rental contract.

After discovering the situation, the residents of the property contacted the current owner.

The access devices to the condominium were also changed to prevent the previous owners from entering. According to residents, the couple found out about the change and went to the building. It was at this moment that the confusion began.

Resident attacked is not related to dispute

Elvia Marques, one of the attacked residents, has no direct relationship with the dispute over the apartment.

Residents also claim that Luiz attacked other people with punches outside the condominium.
