REACTION FROM PARAMEDICS TO THE ADVERTISEMENT
Paramedic and Prehospital Emergency Medicine Association (PARHAD) also reacted to the requirement for a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering for the positions opened for the First and Emergency Aid Program.
In its statement regarding the announcement published in the Official Gazette dated September 14, 2026, the association stated that it did not find the condition in question "acceptable".
In the statement, it was emphasized that paramedic education is an applied and original health discipline that trains health professionals who directly intervene in human life, and it was stated that academic staff should be compatible with the professional and scientific quality of paramedic education.
In the statement, it was stated that paramedics should be given the opportunity to pursue an academic career in their own field, and the determination of non-field undergraduate graduation as a requirement for academic staff in First and Emergency Aid programs was criticized.
