Fund Investigation by Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office: 5 Suspects were Arrested, 7 of them were taken under Judicial Control

The procedures of 12 suspects who were detained and referred to the courthouse in the fund investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office have been completed.

5 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED

Pusula Otomotiv Filo Kiralama A.Ş., one of the suspects referred to the judgeship with a request for arrest. General Manager Necmettin Enes Töbü, Katılımevim Tasarruf Finansman A.Ş. Purchasing Manager Engin Geylan, MIEM Yapı İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. IT Support Specialist Yunus Caf, Kerem Lafçı and Cem Gürkan Alpay were arrested.

FORENSIC CONTROL ON 7 SUSPECTS

It was decided to impose judicial control measures on the suspects Okan Uzunoğlu, Hacı Bayram Adıyaman, Ayşegül Kaya, Duygu Kuşçu, Niyazi Derindağ, Evren Uçar and Hüseyin Emre Sezer.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In the operation carried out the day before within the scope of the fund investigation, detention orders were issued for the suspects who were stated to be affiliated with Destek Holding and Özata Denizcilik.

Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that Altuğ Kantarcı, Özgür Akayoğlu, Kerim Tosun, Nuray Elmastaş, Azize Binnur Tosun and Ali Çil were arrested within the scope of the investigation. Tuğba Hicran Ataseven and Duygu Somay, for whom there was an arrest warrant, were later detained, thus increasing the number of detentions to 8. It was reported that an arrest warrant was issued for İskender Balcı.

In the statement of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that market fraud was detected in the Capital Markets Board's (CMB) examination of the transactions carried out in Destek Holding and Özata Denizcilik shares. In the previous stages of the investigation, it was announced that Altunç Kumova and Özdemir Ataseven, who were stated to be the owners of the companies in question, were also arrested.
