Armed Attack on Association Branches in Istanbul Two Suspects Caught

An armed attack was carried out on two separate branches of an association in Küçükçekmece and Gaziosmanpaşa districts of Istanbul on 28 and 29 August. Following the shooting incidents, an investigation was launched under the coordination of the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Taking action within the scope of the investigation, Istanbul Police Department Organized Crime Branch Directorate teams examined the security camera recordings in the region. As a result of the work carried out by the teams, the identities of the two suspects who were found to have carried out both attacks were stated. The suspects were caught and detained in simultaneous operations carried out on August 31.

The moments when the suspects who were considered to have carried out the attacks entered the streets where the association branches were located on a motorcycle at night and then walked away from the area were recorded on security cameras. It was learned that the judicial process against the suspects who were taken to the police headquarters continues.
