Drug operation in Istanbul: 164 arrests

New evidence was obtained within the scope of the investigation against street vendors carried out by the Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

The suspects who were detained with the last operation carried out in this context were sent to the courthouse.

A total of 164 suspects were arrested by the criminal judgeship of peace on duty. It was decided to impose judicial control measures on 13 suspects.

An arrest warrant was issued for three fugitive suspects.

In the work carried out by the Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was organized at 8 workplaces and 5 valet points in Şişli, Beşiktaş and Sarıyer to catch the suspects called street vendors.

While 160 suspects were detained during the operation, some drugs and stimulants, synthetic pharmaceutical pills, 5 precision scales, 110 gun bullets and 130 thousand 500 liras were seized.
