Ministry of Education obtains ISO 20000 certification from K-EduFine

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Noh Jae-hyeon = The Ministry of Education and the Korea Education and Research Information Service announced on the 28th that 'K-EduFine', an integrated system for local education administration and finance, has acquired the 'International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 20000 certification' for the first time in the domestic education and finance application sector.

K-EduFine is a system used by over 810,000 faculty and staff from the Ministry of Education, 16 metropolitan and provincial offices of education, and schools at each level.

Since its full opening in January 2020, it has been supporting the convenient and efficient performance of accounting and administrative tasks in educational settings.

The Ministry of Education emphasized that with ISO 20000 certification, K-EduFine has been able to increase reliability in ▲ securing consistency in service operation procedures ▲ failure prevention and rapid response ▲ analyzing the cause of problems and preventing recurrence ▲ continuous inspection and improvement of service quality.

The Ministry of Education and the Korea Education and Research Information Service have been reorganizing K-EduFine's service management system since the second half of last year to undergo certification review.

Jang Hong-jae, head of the School Policy Department at the Ministry of Education, said of this certification, "It is a great achievement that K-EduFine's efforts to provide excellent quality and stable services have been internationally recognized. We will provide user-centered, high-quality services by increasing the convenience and efficiency of faculty and staff's work processing."
