New details in the investigation into Kozinoğlu's death

The file regarding Kozinoğlu's death was recently taken off the shelf and reopened.

According to the details in the investigation file, on the day he died, Kozinoğlu was first taken out in the morning and then transferred to his ward. Kozinoğlu, who fell ill in his ward, called out to the people in the next ward. Upon the situation, the emergency help button was pressed.

According to the camera records in the file; A guard who saw the warning on the central board turned up the radio volume and prevented the warning sound from being heard instead of intervening.

Another claim was that the emergency medical team was having dinner at the time. It was stated that Kozinoğlu was sent to the hospital after the first intervention of the other team.

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek shared the information that the investigation was carried out by a special team and a confidentiality decision was made on the file.

Reminding that in the first investigation launched after Kozinoğlu's death, it was decided that there was no need for prosecution on April 10, 2012, Minister Gürlek said that the decision of non-prosecution on the file was lifted on August 26, 2026.

Minister Gürlek said, "Comprehensive studies have been initiated to shed light on all aspects of the incident." he said.

Minister Gürlek stated that the suspect wanted as a fugitive abroad is also a FETO fugitive, and said that efforts are continuing to identify those responsible and ensure that they are held accountable before justice.
