Mahsun Kırmızıgül stated that the decrease in the number of cinema viewers was due to economic reasons.

Singer, actor and director Mahsun Kırmızıgül answered the questions of the press members while he was seen in Nişantaşı, Istanbul.

Kırmızıgül said, "There used to be a middle pole. Now the middle pole has become a maraba. Do you know who the middle pole is? Judges, prosecutors, teachers..." he said. Referring to the situation in the cinema industry, Kırmızıgül said, "These people do not have money to go to the cinema, they cannot pay the rent." According to him, the reason behind the decrease in the number of viewers is the lack of space for culture and entertainment in the citizens' budget, rather than the quality of the films. "When rent and basic expenses make it difficult to make ends meet, movie tickets become among the first expenses to be abandoned," he said.

The famous director added, "In order for the economy to improve, corruption and theft must end. Until this is over, there will be no recovery."
