The sad loss of the theater world: Ali Hürol passed away

The theater world was shaken by a painful loss. Master actor and director Ali Hürol, who had been struggling with heart disease and various health problems for a while, passed away at the age of 76.

Arda Aydın, the son of the master actor Sezai Aydın, who passed away in 2021, announced the news of the death of the veteran actor on his social media account.

Arda Aydın emphasized the efforts of the master artist in the message he published for Ali Hürol, one of his father's closest friends. Aydın, who shared the last photo he took with Hürol at a voice-over exhibition at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, used the following statements:

"My dear uncle, Mert and Zeyno's father, my aunt Ferhunde's life partner for 52 years, and one of my father's closest friends, Ali Hürol changed the world. He has a lot of credit for his work on me, but he is not paid. You can understand what kind of an actor he was from the passion of his children and the children of all his co-stars, who were passionate about this profession. He protected us all, he did not distinguish us from his own children. May he rest in peace. Goodbye Uncle. To my father and all Hello to my uncles..."

MELEK BAYKAL: "HE WAS A VERY VALUABLE AND KIND DOYAN"

Following the death of the master actor, actress Melek Baykal shared her sadness by publishing a condolence message on her social media account.

In his message, Baykal said, "We have lost my dear colleague, very valuable, kind doyen theater actor Ali Hürol. I am very sorry. May you rest in peace, dear Ali. I wish patience to your family and loved ones."

WHO IS ALI HÜROL?

Director Ali Hürol, who started his professional theater life at Ankara Mithatpaşa Theater in the 1968-1969 season, graduated from Ankara State Conservatory Higher Department. Hürol started to work as an artist in the State Theaters since his school years. Hürol left the State Theaters in 1980 and founded the Ali Hürol Theater in Ankara. The master staged around 30 plays for adults on behalf of his own theater and Etibank Art Theatre, and also produced and directed many children's plays. Hürol, who took part in nearly a hundred plays throughout his artistic life of more than 40 years, also worked as a voice actor and director in various productions of TRT.
