Denial from Mansur Yavaş's press advisor to Abdülkadir Selvi

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş did not attend the CHP's founding anniversary events and met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, which stirred up the political backstage.

Hürriyet writer Abdülkadir Selvi, who is known for his closeness to the government, conveyed the allegations made in the Ankara backstage about Mansur Yavaş in his column today. Selvi wrote that it was claimed that Yavaş said, "I do not want to go to prison after this age."

Selvi also stated that Yavaş was alleged to have said the following regarding the presidential candidacy process:

The allegations made by Selvi in today's column were denied by Mansur Yavaş's press advisor. It was stated that Yavaş did not use such an expression.

Making a statement to Sözcü, Yavaş's press advisor denied Selvi's allegations and used the following statements:

"Mr. Selvi's claim in question is entirely a product of his imagination. Recently, he has started to use inaccurate and harsh expressions about Mr. Yavaş in his writings. Do not trust anything that is not heard from Mansur Yavaş's mouth."
