The Warsaw Marathon 2026 will traditionally start on the last Sunday of September. At At 9:00, participants of the 48th Warsaw Marathon will start from the Palace of Culture and Science and run along a route leading through the heart of Warsaw, where there will be as many as 50 support points. What difficulties await drivers in the capital on September 27 and beyond?
Registration for the 48th Warsaw Marathon lasts until September 26 or until the website runs out of places.
Public transport will be free for participants of the September 27 run.

Important information for runners
According to the organizers, the Warsaw Marathon route was designed to enable an even, fast run and create good conditions for both beginners and competitors fighting for their best results. The exclusion of car traffic means that participants admire Warsaw from a completely new perspective.
On September 27, the parking lot at the Palace will not be available. The organizers encourage you to use public transport, which will be free for marathon participants on that day. The nearest metro stations to the start, finish and Competition Office are: Centrum (M1) and Świętokrzyska (M1/M2).
Refreshment points with water will be placed at intervals of approximately every 2.5 kilometers, starting from the 5th kilometer. Additionally, at every second point, starting from the 10th kilometer, there will be isotonic drinks and bananas.

Śródmieście – ul. Świętokrzyska, September 25 – 27, 2026:
Street Świętokrzyska on the section between ul. Emilii Plater, and ul. Marszałkowska will be closed to traffic from 10:00 on September 25 (Friday) until 1:00 a.m. on 28/09 (Monday).
Street Świętokrzyska on the section between Rondo ONZ and ul. E. Platter will be closed to traffic from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on 27/09 (Sunday).
Street E. Platter from Al. Jerozolimskie to ul. Świętokrzyska will be closed to traffic from 11:00 on 26/09 until 24:00 on 27/09.
Street Świętokrzyska on the section between ul. Nowy Świat, and ul. Marszałkowska will be closed to traffic from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on 27/09 (Sunday).
Street Marszałkowska on the section from Al. Jerozolimskie to ul. Królewska will be closed to traffic from 05:00 – 18:00 on 27/09 (Sunday).
