Avalanche in Nepal: 10 people missing

It was reported that 10 people, including climbers and support team members, were lost as a result of an avalanche on the mountain in western Nepal.

According to the Kathmandu Post newspaper, authorities stated that after heavy rain and snowfall, an avalanche occurred on the 7,126-meter-high Himlung Himal Mountain in the west of the country.

Authorities noted that 10 people, including climbers and support team members, were lost as a result of the avalanche and stated that search and rescue efforts were continuing in the region.

On the other hand, authorities stated that at least one person died and two people went missing in a landslide that occurred in a settlement in the Palpa region.

Authorities stated that approximately 80 houses were affected by the flood in the Parbat region as a result of the overflow of the river.

It was reported that dozens of bridges were destroyed, roads were damaged and helicopters were dispatched for search and rescue efforts due to the flood that occurred in the Rasuwa region of Nepal on August 26. It was announced that the number of people who lost their lives in the flood exceeded 1400.
