New search in the Di Vita case: a bag seized in the studios of Pietracatella and Campobasso

Yesterday the forensic copy of his PC and the ten pendrives that had been seized in July, this morning a new unexpected flash search, which lasted less than an hour, in his offices in Pietracatella and Campobasso. Gianni Di Vita, husband and father of Antonella Di Ielsi and Sara Di Vita (who died from ricin poisoning), nine months later confirms himself as a central figure in the solution to the mystery who awaits the contribution of the German specialists from the Robert Koch Institute as a decisive act.

This morning the agents of the Campobasso flying squad directed by Marco Graziano and the SCO colleagues who are examining the IT media first entered the studio in via Risorgimento 18 in Pietracatella and subsequently the one in via D'Amato in Campobasso for a new search. In an office, one of his wife's bags was seized. The former mayor of the Molise town arrived and left with the agents to fulfill the obligations relating to the drafting of the seizure report but the man is not under investigation.

According to what we learn from qualified sources, the searches began after investigators gathered new elements believed to be significant for solving the case in recent days. In fact, it was not the classic 360 degree searches but rather a targeted action to remove certain material: in this case Antonella Di Ielsi's bag.

Traces of ricin on the 131 samples taken at home

Antonella Di Ielsi collaborated in her husband's business in both studios. In recent days the investigative activity revolves around the results of the investigations that the Larino Prosecutor's Office has entrusted to German experts, the only ones with the technology and experience necessary to identify traces of ricin in the 131 samples, including food remains, containers and other objects, taken in July during a very long inspection in the Di Vita building.

No official results have yet arrived from Berlin, although persistent rumors say that traces of the poison have been identified in some of the samples. Also under examination are a water bottle containing an odorless and tasteless liquid and a jar with a brownish and grainy sediment found on the floor of the building once inhabited by Gianni Di Vita's mother. If the indiscretion were confirmed, investigators would have proof that the ricin was in the Di Vita house.
