Radio Gdańsk, with which one of the parents was supposed to be in contact, reported that the situation took place during high school "hacking" - according to the station, some first-year students were forced to take snus.

The police received a report that five students in one of the schools may be under the influence of prohibited substances on Thursday at 1:45 p.m.

Aleksandra Olszewska reported that the patrol sent to the site found that the 15-year-olds had taken snus - bags with a dose of nicotine higher than in a regular cigarette, which are placed in the mouth, between the lip and the gum, where the substances are released.

Four students went with their parents to the hospital for tests, and one returned home under the care of his parents. A guide with a service dog was also sent to the scene of the incident, but he did not reveal the presence of prohibited substances.

Gdynia high school under police scrutiny

The Gdynia city hall announced on its website that the students were handed over to the care of their parents after receiving medical assistance. A pedagogical council and meetings with parents were held at the facility, and employees of the Education Department of the Gdynia City Hall are in constant contact with the school.

In Poland, the sale of traditional tobacco snus containing tobacco is prohibited, but tobacco-free nicotine pouches are legal and available for sale only to adults.
