Pisa, virtual drug dealing square eliminated on Telegram: drugs delivered to home

They use a Telegram channel as a meeting place between supply and demand for narcotic substances, a 'virtual' drug dealing place, which would be followed by the delivery of the drugs to their homes, in 'delivery' mode, especially to university students. The investigations of the Financial Police of Pisa, coordinated by the local prosecutor's office, have led, over time, to the arrest in flagrante delicto of three people in prison for drug dealing, to the release of three others for the same crime and, finally, to the denunciation of another person for aiding and abetting. Furthermore, 21 people who had purchased online were identified and reported to the prefecture as drug users.

The arrests began in July 2024, the prosecutor Teresa Angela Camelio reconstructed in a note, and the subsequent investigative activities led "to the seizure of a property, of the Telegram channel called 'The SpaceWayPisa', subsequently obscured, of an online trading account active in Cyprus, with deposits of over 3,000 euros, approximately 727 grams of hashish, 111 grams of marijuana, 45,000 milligrams of liquid containing cannabis, 3,735 in cash, two knives, six precision scales, a grinder, a gas pistol, a bicycle, a scooter, eight computer devices and mobile phones and some diaries with accounting notes".

Drugs, Internet and material assets show the existence of a criminal organizational capacity evolved by exploiting the potential of online.

The Fiamme Gialle identified an apartment which, according to the investigative reconstruction, was the physical base of the suspects: "it would have been used - it is explained - for the storage, packaging and preparation of the substances destined for subsequent transfers and during the investigations three people were identified, held responsible for the management of the Telegram channel and for the storage, preparation and delivery of the narcotic substances".
