PP and Vox support the march in Madrid
Leaders of PP and Vox will support a march in Madrid this Saturday in which they call for general elections to be called now and with a guarantee that "they will be clean", given the "growing suspicion that the Government is preparing an electoral coup." Furthermore, the promoters of this protest defend starting the procedure in Congress to try Pedro Sánchez "for treason" for the management he has done in Ceuta after the massive entry of 80,000 immigrants at the end of July.
This march called by the Spanish Civil Society, an entity that brings together more than 150 civil associations, will start at 10:00 from the Plaza de Cibeles in Madrid. The tour will continue along Alcalá Street, Gran Vía, Princesa and will conclude around 2:00 p.m., at the Arco de la Victoria, in Moncloa.
"II march for dignity. Elections now. In defense of Spain! With Ceuta and Melilla!" reads the poster of the call that the promoters have spread on their networks and in which they call "all good Spaniards" to join this mobilization.
The PP will have the presence of the general secretary, Miguel Tellado, and the spokesperson for the Popular Group in the Senate, Alicia García, among other positions, at this protest, according to PP sources. In the case of Vox, its president, Santiago Abascal, has already announced that he will attend.
Abascal already stated a few days ago that Vox supports this call, as well as all civil society demonstrations against the Government of "corruption, lies and betrayal." And he added that on this occasion they want to show solidarity "with the compatriots of Ceuta who are having such a bad time." "We want to tell you very clearly that we are not going to forget you," he emphasized.
The manifesto of this mobilization calls for "the immediate calling of general elections so that the Spanish people can freely express their will." "Let's put an end to Pedro Sánchez at the polls and send his rotten regime to the garbage dump of oblivion from which it will never emerge again. Our Nation and our future depend on it," the organizers state in the text.
In addition, they demand "a guarantee that the elections will be clean and that "there will be no adulteration of the census", given the "growing suspicion that the Government is preparing an electoral coup through devious maneuvers", in reference to the nationalizations with the so-called grandchildren law.
Thirdly, they advocate for the start "without further delay in Congress of the procedure provided for in Article 102 of the Constitution to try the President of the Government for treason and for attacking the security of the State." This is a request that Vox has been making in recent weeks, after its management in the Ceuta crisis, but that the PP has rejected until now, referring to the judicial procedure opened in the National Court.
The organizers of this march consider that "the people of Ceuta and also the people of Melilla need strong and urgent responses." "They give us a valuable example every day by fighting for their land and for their families with dignity and courage," they add. For this reason, in the manifesto they ask for "the immediate application of the appropriate legal instrument for the militarization of the square and the expulsion to Morocco of all the invaders." "To support them in their fight against the invasion of their city, our next meeting will be in Barcelona on October 12, National and Hispanic Holiday," they add.
Officials from the PP and Vox already attended on May 23 the first March for dignity called by Spanish Civil Society to demand the "immediate" resignation of the President of the Government due to the "disaster" to which, in their opinion, he is leading Spain. So, that march - with the slogan Sánchez, resign now! It started from Madrid's Plaza de Colón and also ended at the Arco de Moncloa. It was supported by some 40,000 people, according to sources from the Government Delegation in Madrid.
On May 23, Abascal also led the Vox delegation in that mobilization but Alberto Núñez Feijóo did not attend, since that day he was attending the PP congress in the Balearic Islands. The Popular Party sent the spokesperson for the Popular Group in the Senate, who will be in the Senate again this Saturday.
Both Feijóo and Abascal did attend the rally that was called on September 2 in Cibeles, coinciding with Ceuta Day, to support the autonomous city after the avalanche of irregular migrants on July 30 and 31. (EP)

The PP will join the march to denounce "once again" that Spain "suffers from a government that is dangerous to democracy," as announced by its general secretary, Miguel Tellado. It will also have the presence of the president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, whose party has called to participate.
The first march, which took place before the massive entry of migrants at the end of July in Ceuta, brought together tens of thousands of people who called for the resignation of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the calling of early elections.
