The MEP should confirm that he will first go through the primary box organized in October by the PS and Place publique. “There is a desire to leave together, and a real relationship of trust between us and the socialist activists. The rules should be known before the socialists return to Blois for their summer university, scheduled for August 28 to 29. Glucksmann will have to fight to hope to wear the colors of the social democratic camp. Ségolène Royal, deputies Philippe Brun and Jérôme Guedj are already candidates. The probable candidacies of first secretary Olivier Faure, or even the president of the PS group Boris Vallaud, are also expected.

In the event of a candidacy, his partner Léa Salamé would have to leave the presentation of France 2's “20 Heures”. The journalist has always indicated that she would step back in this hypothesis.
