Rainbow bench at the memorial site for the CSD terrorist attack in Berlin damaged again

The rainbow bench at the memorial site for the Islamist terrorist attack on Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Berlin's Tiergarten has once again been partially destroyed. According to police, a colorful wooden slat was dismantled and two other slats were damaged. This was discovered on Thursday evening. Initially nothing was known about the perpetrators.

The rainbow-colored bench was set up near the site of the attack on August 6th. It was destroyed at the beginning of September. After repairs, the district reinstalled it on September 14. A specially planted tree at the memorial site, which had been torn out of the ground, was also reinstated.

In the terrorist attack on July 25, the 21-year-old Islamist attacker drove a car into a group of people and crashed into a tree. The man then attacked other people with a machete before fleeing. One woman was killed and 31 people were injured, some seriously. A day later, police shot the assassin.
