Russian Air Defenses Intercept 40 Ukrainian Drones Over Multiple Regions

MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. Air defenses intercepted and destroyed 40 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight, the Defense Ministry reported.

In the southern Russian Rostov Region, administrative buildings at an oil depot were damaged by falling drone debris. In the southern Russian Krasnodar Region, falling drone debris caused a fire at an industrial facility.

- Between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on September 23 and 8:00 a.m. Moscow time on September 24 (between 5:00 p.m. GMT on September 23 and 5:00 a.m. GMT on September 24), on-duty air defenses intercepted and destroyed 40 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russian regions, the Defense Ministry said.

- According to its statement, the drones were downed over the Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Tver, Rostov, Krasnodar Regions, as well as Crimea.

Consequences

- Administrative buildings at an oil depot were damaged due to falling drone debris in the Rostov Region, Governor Yury Slyusar reported on his Telegram channel.

- There were no injuries or fires.

- Special services are working at the scene.

- A fire broke out at a facility in the Krasnodar Region due to falling drone debris, the operational headquarters reported on its Telegram channel.

- There were no casualties.

- Fifty people and 15 pieces of equipment, including manpower and vehicles from the Russian Emergencies Ministry, were deployed to extinguish the fire.

- As of now, the fire has been extinguished.
