Schlein calls for elections immediately and attacks Meloni on the school decree and on immigration

The sooner you go to vote the better.

The national secretariat of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein has no doubts.

"Giorgia Meloni - she attacks before going on stage at the regional Unity Festival in Portici - continues to argue with her allies also on the vote", reiterating the need to give voters the floor again as soon as possible given "the disaster caused by the centre-right". He then announces "a great battle in Parliament against this terrible school decree" and attacks the government for "zero investment in school buildings and to pay teachers better" and then underlines: "Given this condition, with teachers' salaries among the lowest in Europe, that the priority is to expel foreign children from schools, only Giorgia Meloni intent on chasing Vannacci on remigration could have thought so".

The Dem leader, closing the party from the stage, claims the actions of the centre-left: "There is no better program than the progressive coalition than that of implementing the Constitution". And urged by journalists, she endorses the concern of the mayors of the Phlegraean area by asking the government for more funds in the announced decree which should implement the territory's amendments after the strong earthquake of July 31st. "But let it be in a very short time", urges the mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi from the stage, with the regional secretary of the Democratic Party Piero De Luca assuring: "With us in government, local administrators will no longer be alone".

Manfredi does not forget the America's Cup in the Gulf of Naples in exhorting militants and allies: "With the wind at our backs let's go and take the government".
