Kidnapping in the middle of AP-7 in Montornès del Vallès by false police officers

The scene happened in the middle of AP-7, near Montornès del Vallès (Barcelona), around 7:30 p.m. this Saturday. Two vehicles suffered a slight collision on the highway, when, suddenly, a group of assailants dressed in reflective police vests got out of one of the cars involved in the accident.

The images of the moment show how these five individuals quickly head towards the other vehicle. The assailants were wearing balaclavas and reflective vests that imitated those used by the National Police, as confirmed by police sources. The Mossos d'Esquadra link the event with disagreements between criminal gangs.

Subsequently, it is observed how the individuals forcibly remove a man who was traveling in the back seat of the car. The kidnappers, presumably armed according to several witnesses, mobilize the victim, who has a bloody face. The man is dragged along the highway itself and, later, put into the vehicle in which the assailants were traveling.

The Catalan police later found the man in good health in another part of Catalonia, but it is unknown if his release would be linked to the payment of a ransom. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) has opened an investigation to try to clarify what happened.
