Swinburne Vietnam opened Qualcomm x Arduino Innovation Lab in Hanoi, August 18, supporting students to experience technology and develop real-life projects. The unit aims at experiential learning, innovation and linking training with business practices. This facility creates conditions for students to access new technologies, and at the same time, develop practical skills to supplement knowledge in the classroom. Swinburne Vietnam designs the lab as a connected learning and innovation space, supporting training, testing and project development activities in fields such as Internet of Things (IoT), embedded systems, AIoT, robotics and smart automation. Students can expand their experience beyond theory by creating, testing and perfecting real-world technology solutions. The Qualcomm x Arduino Innovation Lab was developed with the support of technology partners Qualcomm and Arduino, combining an academic foundation with access to technology platforms, tools, and resources linked to industry practices. The goal of the cooperation is to build an environment for students to explore new technology, improve practical skills and access innovation processes in practice. FPT Software's companionship contributes to strengthening the connection between the academic and business environments, through practical implementation expertise and perspectives on contemporary technology challenges and business applications. Swinburne Vietnam also built a Lab to support the entire technology development process, from idea generation, prototyping to testing and completion. Students and researchers have the opportunity to experiment on technology platforms, develop real-life projects, and learn how to turn innovative ideas into useful solutions. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Hoang Viet Ha, President of FPT International University, Director of Swinburne Vietnam, FPT Group, shared that business cooperation is a way for the study program to always go hand in hand with what the information technology industry needs.
