Moroccan minor discovered hiding under Valladolid team bus after match in Ceuta

A 17-year-old Moroccan was picked up on Monday after arriving in Spain hidden under the bus of the Valladolid football team, a Spanish second division club. The vehicle was returning from Ceuta, where the club had just played a match in the Spanish enclave located in North Africa.

The minor had taken his place between the rear wheels of the bus and would have traveled more than a hundred kilometers, according to an internal source at the club cited by AFP. He also remained hidden under the vehicle during the ferry crossing between Ceuta and the peninsula, before asking for help during a stop at a rest area.

The minor was then taken into care

The members of the Valladolid delegation then gave him food, water and clothes. They stayed with him until the arrival of the Spanish Civil Guard, who then took the minor into care. Several attempts by migrants hidden in vehicles to reach the Iberian Peninsula have already been reported in recent years by the Spanish authorities.
