FIFA has imposed a ban on the registration of new players on the Turkish Fenerbahce

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has banned the registration of new players for the Turkish Fenerbahce, according to the organization's website.

The ban has been in effect since September 25 for three registration periods.

Fenerbahçe explained that the restriction is temporary and is related to the payment of the transfer fee for Youssef En-Nesyri. The Moroccan footballer moved to the Turkish team in the summer of 2024 from the Spanish Sevilla.

“Due to the delay in the transfer payment dated April 30, 2026 for the player’s transfer, the club has already contacted FIFA. After the new management took up their duties, the overdue payment was repaid. However, as part of an open case, the opposite party also demanded early payment of the next tranche. We are now awaiting FIFA’s decision on this issue,” the club’s statement on the social network X says.
