14 academic conferences, exhibitions participated by 550 companies, business consultation sessions

(Busan = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Seon-ho = '2026 Climate Industry International Expo' opened at BEXCO in Haeundae-gu on the 16th and began a three-day schedule.

The Climate Industry International Expo is an event launched by integrating exhibitions and conferences in the climate and energy field, such as the Korea Energy Fair, and has been held in Busan for four consecutive years.

This year, it is co-hosted by Busan City, the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, the International Energy Agency (IEA), the World Bank (WB), and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and serves as a venue for global cooperation to discuss international climate and energy issues and find solutions.

The expo begins with an official opening ceremony and continues with 14 academic conferences, including the Climate and Energy Forum, exhibitions with over 550 companies participating, and business consultation sessions.

During the event, a conference will be held to discuss major agendas in the climate and energy fields facing the world.

The conference consists of global climate governance led by international organizations such as the IEA to discuss global energy policies and technologies, domestic climate initiatives exploring carbon neutral implementation strategies, and a climate solution platform centered on climate industry consumers.

The exhibition, in which about 550 domestic and foreign companies, including Samsung and LG, participates, showcases various innovative technologies in the climate and energy fields.

In addition, side events such as a business consultation session for export and sales consultation, a docent tour to examine the technology of major companies, a climate quiz show, and an upcycling experience will also be held.
