市府提前規劃替代路網，目前西屯區東西向聯絡道路包括中科路、西屯路、福科路、台灣大道、朝馬路，以及預計2027年完工的市政路延伸工程，共計6條主要幹道；漢翔路延伸工程完工後，將成為串聯中科與市區的第7條東西向聯絡道路，進一步完善西屯區整體交通路網。

建設局長陳大田表示，此工程全長約3300公尺，計畫道路寬度40公尺，總經費約93億8591萬元，其中工程費約34億元，用地及地上物補償費約59億8591萬元。考量整體計畫規模龐大，工程將採分年、分段方式推動。

第一階段施工範圍為西林巷瓦磘橋至國道1號涵洞間路段，其中管線遷移作業已於2026年5月完成，後續將辦理瓦磘橋拓寬改建工程，預計2027年12月完工。

另國道1號177K+274涵洞拓寬工程目前由交通部高速公路局辦理規劃設計，預計2027年上半年辦理工程發包，目標2029年底完工。待各階段工程陸續完成後，將有效提升中科聯外運輸效能。

建設局指出，第一期橋梁標工程施工期間將採全橋封閉方式施工，請民眾改由廣福路163巷、永安一巷及筏堤東街等替代道路通行。
