On Monday morning, Primorsky Vodokanal reported a shutdown of cold water in Artyom and Vladivostok, as well as in the Nadezhdinsky district due to an accident at the power plant. According to the regional State Emergency Management Directorate, over 650 thousand people and 224 socially significant facilities were left without water. On Monday evening the accident was repaired and the systems began to be filled with water. Authorities reported that it would take up to 12 hours to restore full pressure in the system.

“Water is gradually returning to the taps of residents of Vladivostok, Artem and the Nadezhdinsky district. The accident at the Shtykovo substation has been eliminated, the pumps of the Artemovsky hydroelectric complex are working again. Water has already appeared in Nekrasovskaya, 3rd Rabochaya, Tungusskaya, in the 64th and 71st microdistricts, on Patroclus, as well as in areas served by water pumping stations Central, Chasovitina and Goldobina in Vladivostok,” the message says.
