Russian business expects that China and India will not restrict trade with the Russian Federation after the adoption of a law on the so-called “hellish sanctions” in the United States. This was stated by the President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Alexander Shokhin, quoted by TASS.

The head of the RSPP recalled that the law adopted by congressmen gives the President of the United States the right to impose 100 percent duties on goods from the largest countries importing Russian energy resources. “Of course, many may waver,” he acknowledged, speaking about the possibility of secondary sanctions, but expressed hope that Beijing and New Delhi would show determination on this issue.

Shokhin also noted that in such conditions, political support for business projects becomes of great importance. “For example, transport and logistics subsidies. This is very important for many companies,” emphasized a representative of a large Russian business.
