China News Service, Linfen, September 29 (Ren Lina) On September 28, the Jin Museum in Quwo County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province officially opened its doors after undergoing all-round quality improvements. Early in the morning, a long line of people lined up in the square in front of the museum. Tourists were eagerly waiting for a "dialogue across time and space" with the 800-year-old Jin civilization.

Quwo has a history of thousands of years and a rich cultural heritage. It is known as the "source of the Three Jins and the hometown of the Jin Kingdom". The name Quwo began in the early Western Zhou Dynasty and has a history of more than 3,000 years. The tombs of nineteen Jin marquises and their wives from nine generations and pits of real chariots and horses unearthed at the "Qucun-Tianma Site" in the territory are more than 600 years older than the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang. The Jin State Museum built on this basis is not only the first thematic heritage museum in Shanxi Province, but also the only platform in China that fully displays Jin culture.
From 600 to 800: a more complete historical context
Entering the brand-new historical exhibition hall of the Jin Dynasty, the original exhibition narrative started from the beginning of the Jin Dynasty, but now it extends forward to the complete 800-year civilization of "Jin and Three Jins". The exhibition line has been extended by nearly 200 meters, and the wall-mounted exhibition design makes the field of vision suddenly clear, and the audience seems to be in a slowly flowing historical river.

"In the past, when talking about the Jin Kingdom, the focus was on the hegemony of the Spring and Autumn Period; with this upgrade, we have made the inheritance of the Three Jin Dynasties clearer." The on-site commentator said that the exhibition breaks the limitations of the original narrative and comprehensively restores the rise and fall of the hegemony in the Spring and Autumn Period, rituals, music, civilization, and people's livelihood. "Let the audience not only see the dynasty's struggle for hegemony, but also the fireworks in the world."
From 160 items to 365 items: Cultural relics "open up" to tell a richer history
With this upgrade, the original exhibits in the Jin State History Exhibition Hall have been increased from more than 160 sets to 365 sets. In addition to bronzes, jades, and pottery, bone tools, stone tools, and various ancient production and living utensils have been added. By using objects to record history and using objects to prove history, the historical authenticity of the exhibition is greatly enhanced.
The newly created archaeological excavation themed exhibition area made many visitors stop for a long time. Precious materials such as exploration tools, handwritten diaries, excavation archives, and video materials used by three generations of archaeologists are on display, embodying the original intention of generations of archaeologists to cultivate the site and protect the cultural heritage.
Technology "revitalizes" history: the bird statue is "reborn" and the war drums "beat"
The digital showcase of the national treasure Bird Statue was crowded with spectators holding up mobile phones. The dynamic image completely restored the entire process of splicing and repairing the fragments of the national treasure. When the last fragment was returned to its place and the bird statue's complete figure emerged, there was a low exclamation from the crowd.

"It's so shocking. It feels like the cultural relics really come alive." Ms. Liu from Taiyuan said that in the past, I could only see static artifacts when looking at cultural relics. Now I can see how they were discovered, restored and understood. "It's like watching a micro movie."
Not far away, the Battle of Chengpu, a real-life interpretation of holographic projection technology, is "starting". The panoramic fusion of sound, light and electricity, the clever blending of virtual and real scenes, the neighing of war horses and the hunting of flags make the audience feel as if they are on the battlefield of the Spring and Autumn Period. Models of ancient buildings in crypts and semi-crypts, ancient vehicles, and miniature scenes of ancestors’ production and life have all been restored, and the various aspects of ancient people’s clothing, food, housing, transportation, and agricultural and industrial development have been meticulously reproduced.
Listen to the chime music and touch the smart magic screen: viewing the exhibition changes from "passive" to "active"
In the chime and chime display area, relying on digital on-demand technology, visitors can immersively listen to the restored ancient elegant music. When the deep and distant sound of bells and chimes sounded in the exhibition hall, many viewers closed their eyes to listen, as if they were in touch with the elegant charm of pre-Qin ritual and music civilization.
In front of the smart touch screen, the children stood on tiptoes and tapped their fingertips to unlock the treasures in the warehouse and the ancient jade secrets one by one. A large number of digital materials on the cultural relics in the collection are included, allowing the exhibition to change from "passive viewing" to "active exploration".
On September 28, Quwo County officials held a new opening ceremony for the Jin State Museum, inviting guests from all over the world to trace the origins of the Jin civilization, read the thousands of years of Jin rhyme, and encounter the echoes of civilization that have spanned thousands of years in each step, scene, object and history.
