The head of the Moscow station in St. Petersburg was accused of stealing 900 thousand rubles

The head of the Moscow station and two of his employees were accused of criminal conspiracy and theft of 900 thousand rubles. This was reported by the press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.

The Smolninsky District Court took into custody the head of the Moskovsky railway station in St. Petersburg, Artur Zhuravlev, his deputy Olga Sidor and the storekeeper of the automated hand luggage storage room Lyubov Kulkova. The investigation believes that they entered into a preliminary criminal conspiracy and systematically appropriated other people's property, which was deposited in a storage room for forgotten and unclaimed items.

Kulkova, working in a storage room, received from transport security officers a backpack with 702,275 Russian rubles, 1,440 US dollars, 200 euros, 2,000 Chinese yuan, 50 Turkish lira, 20 Israeli shekels, 2,000 Kazakhstani tenge, 210 Serbian dinars, 1,000 Japanese yen and 300 Belarusian rubles. Foreign currency converted into rubles amounted to at least 174,285 rubles 43 kopecks.

Knowing that the passenger was looking for a backpack, Kulkova drew up an act without indicating the valuables belonging to the passenger. She placed the money in a black bag, took it out of the storage room and, hiding it under her clothes, handed it to Sidor. The latter gave them to Zhuravlev, who put them in a safe in his office. The backpack was returned to the passenger, keeping silent about the presence of money. On August 26, the embezzled property was seized during an inspection of the crime scene in the safe in the office of the head of the Moscow station. On September 11, Zhuravlev, Sidor and Kulkova were detained and charged.
