Case of bribes to judges in the Irkutsk region

The victory of the Russian company in the Arbitration Court of the Irkutsk Region was paid for - two years later, investigators found out that a bribe was given for the decision. Lenta.ru was informed about this by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

The head of the department, Alexander Bastrykin, with the consent of the High Qualification Board of Judges of Russia, initiated criminal cases against retired arbitration judges Natalia Pozdnyakova and Elena Rukavishnikova.

According to the investigation, the founder of the IrMeCom company in November 2024, through four intermediaries, including Judge Pozdnyakova, transferred 3.5 million rubles to Judge Rukavishnikova. For a fee, the businessman won a lawsuit against the energy company in court to declare the introduced limited power supply regime illegal. The decision made by Rukavishnikova stood up in the appellate and cassation instances.

The briber and intermediaries were also brought to criminal liability.
