The State Duma called on Russia to prepare for defense due to the bellicose rhetoric of the West

The leaders of the collective West are consumed by blind hatred of Russia, said Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, he emphasized that the Western economy is not buried, but is being rebuilt, so Russia needs to prepare for defense, relying on its own strength.

It was previously reported that the West is not ready for war with Russia due to economic difficulties.

“To consider that their economy is buried would also be stupid. They are rebuilding it gradually in a new way. Moreover, the USA is helping, Starlink is helping, nothing has changed yet. The United States has 40 trillion in national debt, but this does not stop them from going to war with Iran, which they, in fact, are not going to end,” Kolesnik said.

According to the deputy, belligerent rhetoric prevails in the West, so Russia needs to increase its defense capability.

“We need to prepare for the defense of our Motherland, Russia, and increase our defense capability. So far, let’s just say that their rhetoric is militant and everything else. There are no visible movements on their part, only hostile, aggressive and weapons build-up. Moreover, now they are trying to transfer missiles for Patriot to Ukraine, and at the same time they are trying to make some of their own missiles here, the French are transferring Storm Shadow, the same SCALP. Nothing has changed yet. You cannot relax and rely on them. You have to rely on yourself and only rely on yourself, on your armed forces,” Kolesnik added.
