Housing fraud operation in Ankara: 15 suspects caught

Under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out against qualified fraud and forgery of official documents by Ankara Police Department Financial Crimes Branch teams.

In the "housing fraud" operations carried out simultaneously in Ankara-based Istanbul, Zonguldak, Bursa, Denizli, Kütahya and Izmir, 15 suspects who were determined to have sold a land belonging to TOKİ with fake documents by pretending that they had inherited it, were caught.

While it was determined that the suspects had gained approximately 95 million 500 thousand liras of illicit gain, 7 of the suspects who were referred to the courthouse were arrested by the judgeship, and judicial control measures were imposed on the other suspects.

During the investigations, it was determined that the suspects introduced themselves as the cooperative president, cooperative vice president and accountant member, claimed that they had inherited a land belonging to TOKİ, and sold the land to 20 different people through fake documents they prepared.
