Worker Ufuk Demir, who fell into a coal silo in Zonguldak, was hospitalized by medical teams.

Ufuk Demir (27), who went inside to clean the coal silo that was blocked approximately 400 meters underground, fell into the silo as a result of his foot coming into the gap.

Demir, whose pieces of coal fell on him, was removed from his location by his colleagues.

The worker, who was found to be breathless for a while, was taken to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Hospital by medical teams after the intervention at the scene.

Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu, Provincial Police Chief İbrahim Kaba and TTK General Manager Muharrem Kiraz came to the hospital and Chief Physician Prof. Dr. He received information from Burak Bahadır about the worker's health condition.

Governor Hacıbektaşoğlu, in his statement to journalists, said that Demirci was breathless for a while after falling into the silo.

Stating that the incident occurred around 21:00 yesterday, Hacıbektaşoğlu said:

"He entered the clogged silo to clean it. He fell into the silo as a result of his foot stepping on the empty space, and landed on coals. His friends rescued him immediately. He was breathless for a while. Medical intervention was given immediately, and his teammates immediately took him out. Unfortunately, his heart stopped when he fell short of breath. He was restarted and brought back to life. His condition is now stable. Our doctors are now taking him to the intensive care unit. Just now, his family saw him and visited him. We hope and pray. He is currently on life support. His treatment and follow-up continues. We pray for a great recovery. Only one of our brothers was involved in an accident."
