Candidates for the Government of Maranhão fulfilled campaign commitments this Monday (28), in São Luís. André Luis (Missão) and Orleans Brandão (MDB), in addition to the other candidates, carried out activities such as meetings, recordings for electoral programs and social networks, preparation for debates and meetings with supporters.
The first round of elections will be held on October 4th. The second round, if necessary, is scheduled for October 25th.

André Luís (Mission)
André Luís, from Missão, completed his campaign schedule this Monday morning, in São Luís. The commitment was held at the Cohab Fair, where he spoke to voters and heard from marketers the main demands to improve sales and the structure of commerce.
"Fighting poverty happens when you generate wealth, what generates wealth is you when encouraged by the government. So, our government's measures will support small and micro-entrepreneurs, but also the opening of our state, removing the rules that have been hindering the development of our state and attracting companies to set up here, generating work and income to develop the jobs and opportunities that we need to actually combat poverty. And, when it comes to social assistance, we need to remember the extremely important work that churches come to do in our state. Faith communities go where the government cannot reach. It is the arm of the government, it is the arm of the state, taking care of people. And here in Cohab it is also a space where there are many homeless people, drug users, and the state needs to support these evangelical entities that operate in this region", said the candidate.
Dimas Cassimiro (PCO)
Dimas Cassimiro, from the Workers' Cause Party (PCO), did not report campaign activities this Monday (28).
Eduardo Braide (PSD)

Orleans Brandão (MDB)
Orleans Brandão, from the Brazilian Democratic Movement (MDB), began his campaign agenda this Monday (28) in São Luís, where he recorded electoral programs and presented proposals aimed at combating poverty and social assistance.
"First, I wanted to highlight what we did in this government. The Brandão government was a government that stood out in the fight against extreme poverty. We managed to lift more than 1.3 million people out of hunger and social vulnerability. We did this through the creation and expansion of new popular restaurants. From 94, we went to more than 220 spread across the entire state of Maranhão. And we created the largest income transfer program in the history of that state, Maranhão Livre da Fome, which helped more than 400 thousand people throughout the state of Maranhão. I want to continue, of course, expanding these programs, but, above all, providing professional training to these people. I will increase the value of Maranhão Livre da Fome, I will increase the number of beneficiaries, but I will look for these people and train them, getting them into the job market. This will be my main mission", said the candidate.
Reginaldo Lima (PCB)

Roberto Rocha (PRTB)
