The Central Meteorological Administration predicts that the intensity of Typhoon Shuliji has reached the upper limit of a mild typhoon and will turn north towards Japan. The current good weather will continue until next Wednesday, and another northeast monsoon will usher in next Thursday, with the windward side turning to rain again.

Zheng Jieren, a forecaster from the Meteorological Administration, said that from tomorrow to next Wednesday (30th), the weather will remain cloudy to sunny in various places. Only sporadic short-term showers will occur in the mountainous areas in the afternoon. He also reminded that the temperature will get higher and higher in the past few days, with daytime high temperatures generally reaching 31 to 35 degrees, and hot weather may reach 36 degrees in some areas.

"Starting from next Thursday (October 1), the northeast monsoon will intensify and the rainfall will increase." Zheng Jieren said that it will not be obvious at the beginning of the day. Only the north coast and northeastern part of Keelung on the windward side will have sporadic short-term showers. Other areas will still have cloudy to sunny weather. There will be local short-term showers in the south and other mountainous areas in the afternoon.

Zheng Jieren said that next Friday and Saturday (2nd and 3rd) will continue to be affected by this wave of northeast monsoon. There will be local short-lived showers in the north and eastern half of Taoyuan and the Hengchun Peninsula. It will be cloudy to sunny in other areas. There will also be local short-lived showers in the south and other mountainous areas in the afternoon. He pointed out that during the influence of the northeast monsoon, the temperature in the north dropped slightly, and the daytime temperature returned to 29 to 31 degrees, while the central and southern parts could still have high temperatures of 32 to 33 degrees.

As of this evening, Typhoon Shuliji is still a mild typhoon. Zheng Jieren said that it will intensify into a moderate typhoon as soon as tonight or tomorrow, and it will begin to turn northward towards Japan this evening. Travelers who want to go to Okinawa should pay attention to the weather.
