A high alert regime has been introduced in the Minusinsk District due to bears entering populated areas

In the Minusinsk District, the operating mode “Increased readiness” has been introduced. This decision was made due to the situation with bears. This is not a reason to panic, but it is worth increasing your vigilance and caution.

It is noted that 24 predators have already been eliminated in the surrounding forests and near populated areas of the district as part of regulating the wild animal population. Special groups have been formed, which include police and game wardens, to monitor the situation and promptly respond to reports of bears.

The authorities urge residents not to let children walk alone, especially near forests and wastelands, to refrain from walking in the forest and adjacent areas in the evening and at night - from 20.00 to 6.00, and also not to leave garbage and leftover food outside container areas. In addition, residents are advised to refrain from visiting forests, remote areas of the district and other places where bears may appear. Beekeepers are advised to remove apiaries located near forests.
