Man is arrested on suspicion of planting drugs in his ex-partner's flower shop in Luís Eduardo Magalhães

A man was arrested, this Wednesday (23), on suspicion of "planting" drugs in his ex-partner's flower shop in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, in western Bahia. According to the Military Police, the victim had already registered a police report against the suspect after receiving threatening messages.

The drug complaint was made on September 18 and, upon arriving at the scene, the police found 39 potions of cocaine hidden in a barbecue and in a freezer.

The flower shop owner was at the scene and stated that she had no knowledge about the drugs. When trying to show the police the recordings from the establishment's security cameras, she realized that the images from the internal areas had been deleted.

When investigating the images from the external cameras, the police discovered that a man had left the flower shop in the early hours of the same day, at 4am.

According to the owner of the enterprise, the man was her ex-boyfriend and a week earlier, on September 11, she had registered a police report against him.

When carrying out a sweep of the area, the police discovered that the access gate to the property and the kitchen door were damaged.

The case was taken to the Civil Police and, after the investigation process, the Court ordered the man's preventive detention.
