A 24-year-old app delivery man was arrested on suspicion of killing a young man inside a cemetery in Goiânia. According to the Military Police, the man confessed to the crime and said he had been attacked by the young man before killing him with a knife to the neck. The Civil Police investigates the case.

The body was found this Saturday (26), in the Parque Cemetery. To g1, the lieutenant of the Military Police's Ostensive Rapid Intervention Group (Giro) Murilo Soares Mesquita said that a gravedigger found the body.

According to the Scientific Police, the young man died as a result of an expulsion, when a deep wound is caused by a sharp instrument on the front or side of the neck.

According to the Military Police, the suspect was arrested this Monday (29), inside the house, in Balneário Meia Ponte. He reportedly told police he was attacked by a drug user.

"He confessed, but his version was not very coherent. He said that he had been attacked by a drug addict, who had attacked him and he had taken the knife and attacked him, the boy, the victim", reported the lieutenant.

According to the suspect's custody hearing document, available on the Goiás State Court of Justice (TJ-GO) website, images from security cameras captured his car and would have helped in the search.

The suspect had his arrest converted into preventative this Tuesday (29), and remains in prison. The Civil Police carried out initial procedures and seized a cell phone and a knife. The examination was carried out and the body was sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML).
