Honda Taiwan has newly launched the Honda ZR-V e:HEV, which is positioned between the HR-V and CR-V. It is imported from Japan and adopts a single gasoline-electric model configuration. Breaking away from traditional recreational vehicles, the overall proportions of the ZR-V e:HEV are close to those of a crossover sports car. The ZR-V e:HEV cockpit uses a 10.2-inch digital instrument and a 9-inch touch screen that supports the Google system. After being connected to the Internet, you can use Google Maps, Play Store and Google Assistant. It uses a wired electronic gearbox to replace the traditional mechanical gear lever. In addition, the suspended design center console, black leather seats, pearl gloss black trim panels and soft coverings and other interior decorations give ZR-V e:HEV a simple Japanese style.
The overall cockpit is similar to Civic, including a 10.2-inch TFT color LCD instrument and a 9-inch Google Internet host. The USB Type-C output power can reach 60W, which can meet the charging needs of most laptops.
In addition, the driver's seat provides 8-way electric adjustment and position memory, and the passenger seat has 4-way electric adjustment. The ZR-V e:HEV is powered by a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle direct-injection engine, paired with two electric motors and an E-CVT electrical continuously variable transmission system. The engine has a maximum horsepower of 143 horsepower and a maximum torque of 18.6 kg-m. The electric motor has a maximum horsepower of 184 horsepower and a maximum torque of 32.1 kg-m. With electric drive as the core, it responds briskly during starting and general acceleration processes. The engine will only significantly intervene when climbing hills or when a larger throttle is required. With the vehicle height being lower than that of an ordinary SUV, coupled with the front MacPherson and rear independent multi-link suspension, when driving on continuous curves and high-speed curves, the chassis is clearly stable and the control characteristics of a touring car are felt. It can also bring more driving pleasure through the kinetic energy recovery paddle behind the steering wheel and the SPORT mode.
In terms of active safety, the Honda Sensing system covers functions such as ACC active distance adjustment and cruise control, LSF low-speed following, CMBS collision mitigation braking, LKAS lane keeping assist and RDM road departure suppression.
