Israeli Minister Smotrich Calls for Annexation of the West Bank, Gaza and Lebanon

Israeli far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich made a new provocative statement before the parliamentary elections expected to be held in Israel on October 27.

In his brazen statement to the country's press, Smotrich said that Israel should also "wage war" in the occupied West Bank.

The genocidal minister called for the abolition of the Palestinian Authority, which has limited civilian and security powers in the West Bank, and touched upon the intense attacks of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip. "We must do here what we did in Gaza," Smotrich said.

The Israeli minister also made statements contrary to the framework agreement signed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government with Lebanon under the mediation of the United States, regarding the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the occupied Lebanese territory and the disarmament of Hezbollah.

Smotrich argued that Israel should annex the occupied lands in Gaza and Lebanon and said, "I would like the area up to the Yellow Line in Gaza and the Litani River in Lebanon to be annexed."
